Needless to say I was violently ill on the way back home, not sure whether from the aggravation or the food?įireside needs to hire employees with people skills and personality, train their hostesses, waitress and eat your own awful food. Fortunately, I was able to flag down the bartender and he at least brought us ketchup to our table. The waitress disappeared (only 2 booths were occupied in the bar at 130p) and never replaced my fork or knife and never cleaned up the cheese that was a mess in front of me. I only ate half of the sandwich and a few of the fried frozen potatoes.
There was no layer of flavors only tasted like half a bottle of hot sauce was dumped on the chicken for heat. I then ordered the buffalo chicken wrap instead which wasn’t any better. I told the male manager I can’t eat this mess -all the contents of the sandwich fell in my plate and place mat. I called over the waitress (who was void of any human emotion or waitressing skills w a attitude) who in turn called over the manager. On my first attempt to pick it up the 1st glob of cheese fell on my place mat. The "Chicken steak" looked like diced up chicken lunch meat from the deli w globs (not melted) processed cheese w a roll that couldn’t support the glop. Well really, didn’t you think I wasn’t going to check, on my way to the ladies room I peeked in the dining room were a few tables were dining w the shades up and natural sun light filled the room. She said the shades are drawn in the dining room and it’s dark there too. When I told the cold as stone young waitress the bar area was like a dark closet and probably would like to be seated in the dining room. The only natural light came from a emergency glass door -We endured The bar area was dark and gloomy w a spot light shining in my eyes when I looked up, like sitting in a closet w a flashlight in my face. Wrong, by the time we ordered our drinks and food it was too late to move since we were pressed for time and -We endured. We told the hostess at Fireside that we wanted a quiet place in the dining room and she steered us to the bar area and if we didn’t like it we could move. NJ for a quick late afternoon lunch around 130p but this time we decided to try a new place. our go to place is Federicci’s in Freehold. Worst quick lunch on 130p meal for 2 ($40.) 0 AVOID AT ALL COST -0 front of house -0 back of house
